Why do you want to visit Hua Hin?
Well, to visit Santorini Park!
That's how prominent this top Hua Hin attraction is. I would just say no trip to Hua Hin is complete without a visit to this park. Don't believe it? Look up Hua Hin tour packages and pretty much all of them will include this place in their itinerary. After all, my bucket list of visiting the real Santorini is still left inside my now overflowing bucket due to the pandemic travel restrictions. Uwaaa....
We want to take things in a relaxed pace for this trip so making one attraction a day itinerary felt right. You can't miss this place while driving in the very long and straight Phetkasem Road. Besides, every tourists to Hua Hin will use this road at least once since majority of its park attractions are located here.
From afar, you can see the Ferris wheel and on arrival we were greeted by the iconic blue & white buildings.
Moomin cafe can be seen as soon as we enter the park entrance. This famous cafe was serving a Buy 1 Free 1 drink.
Must grab them before we leave this place later.
There were plenty of car parks facing the road but do drive further into the park where there is a large open space car park. That is where the actual park entrance is.
The Santorini Park Waterventures.
Look at how cool this waterslide is!
However, the water park was closed until further notice 😯
Hmm...how many more attractions are closing here?
We got our tickets and each ticket was entitled for 1 free ride.
We were required to wear a mask and sanitize our hands prior to entry due to the emergence of Covid.
There weren't many visitors around that day. The place is beautiful where every corners were insta-worthy.
The pathway to the toilet.
As I opened the toilet door, I was transported to an underwater scene where I can hear Sebastian the crab from Little Mermaid singing "Ünder da sea" in my head. I've never seen such a beautiful hand basin with water fountain and all. What more, the toilet is clean and air conditioned giving a respite from the sweltering heat outside.
Taking pictures while doing some window shopping.

Now we are heading to the open play ground. We still have our ticket for free rides so we chose to use one on the whimsical double tiered carousel.
And the next one on its iconic Ferris Wheel.
I particularly loved this one as I get a birds eye view on Cha-Am district and Santorini park. The Ferris wheel is worth it too as we get to go for many rounds unlike the carousel.
There were also other attraction for kids.
I wished I am this small to play like these kids 😋😛
The other part of the trip here was spent at Miffy's Garden
We stayed until the last minute of the park hours. We were still taking pictures as the park countdown its closure. There were literally no one left and even the workers were scurrying out.

Oh no....my Moomin drink
The cafe was also closed at this time and we missed this. It's okay, we'll come back tomorrow but then...we never did
Hobs wanted to checkout Cha-Am Premium outlet nearby. He went in to some shops for a quick browse and came back with nothing. At this point, we were starving. There weren't anything to eat here in the outlet so we headed back to the main Petchkasem Rd to scour for food. The long road has plenty of petrol stations. If there is a Shell petrol station, then there is another Shell on the opposite side of the road. Surrounding these petrol stations were restaurants and fast food chain.
We ended up eating KFC which was pretty good. There was a promo for Thai milk tea (which I am obsessed) and green tea while we munched on chicken and ice cream in this cute bubble cup. Don't know why but it was really freezing inside KFC.
It's a wrap! Let's head back for some good R&R
Sad note: Due to the pandemic Santorini Park is temporarily closed until Jun 2021
