The Sea-Cret Garden, Hua Hin

 Feb 5 - Feb 7, 2020

We arrived in Hua Hin!

After getting our car from a sweaty Russian guy, we drove away from the crystal blue sea, heading south towards the mountains for a hide out here...

Knowing this is a secluded resort, we stopped by at Market Village for lunch and loaded up on snacks. Ended up we did some shopping at Tesco Lotus in Market Village. We wanted to get to the resort before sun set. After all, getting lost in a remote and dark foreign land is no fun.

The scenery changed from city coast to wide open land with mountains in the distance. We took the back road which is the longest and straightest back road I have seen. It was quite contrasting to the other main Petchkasem Rd on the other side of the buildings where it was wide and busy, while this "back Petchkasem road" was close to no cars. Don't ask me why they have the same name.

We turned our car into a narrow beaten track. It was stone and rubbles with over grown dried grass. We drove deeper and began to feel lost. Suddenly I saw signs of some buildings and we exclaimed in unison. We weren't lost after all. We have arrived at The Sea-Cret Garden!

There were plenty of shaded car parks and immediately we were greeted by a buggy who transported us to the lobby. There weren't a single tourist around (I'll comment more on this pre-pandemic situation).

Sneak peak of the villas

Served with a chilled juice

Checked in with keys on hand. Let's go!

Ponies need a trim.
Little did we know that in a few months time, we will experience the same fate from the pandemic lockdown.

Thank goodness for the buggy. Our villa was quite far and this resort was pretty huge. Entering the villa, was a kitchenette.

USEFUL TIP: One must not go hungry during vacation!

The gigantic room

On the left was a door that opened up to the spacious shower and bath. The sunken jacuzzi was a major highlight. Look at that, who would resist?

There was a separate powder table next to the kitchen and everything was well equipped. I thought the bag below was complimentary but they charged me like RM20++ for it. Yikes, I am returning it.

The highlight of this place!
I will just shut up and let the pictures speak for themselves.

A cozy patio over looking the pool

Each villa has a stairway that will lead to a private rooftop garden.
This white cat had a mission.

Alas, I've reached the top and the white cat somehow ran to the rooftop next door

Can you still see him? He was meowing and off he ran and climbed up the tree.

Each rooftop garden have a different design. Applause to the resort as keeping the resort in shape with so many plants is a lot of work. I have a tiny garden at home. Either they have outgrown their pots or immediately died.

Enough ogling at others and back to our own garden.
Love the bright pink bougainvillea against the backdrop.

View from the roof top garden.

Clean, spacious, serene, roof top garden and direct pool access from the room. This place is perfect.

There were 2 more villas that were filled in our section. The rest of the villas and also in the other segments looked empty. We had the place to ourselves with added exclusivity.

Although it looked like an infinity pool, it was sectionalized so about 8 to 10 villas get their respective pool area. Less crowd and better privacy. Just look at me crazily sitting on the section divider for the sake of a picture. Luckily my clumsy self didn't fall into the other side of the pool. The pool was built like a river concept with each section getting lower and lower.

I can busk in this place from dusk till dawn. This was one of the best hotel we've stayed.

The only down side was we had to leave after 2 nights 😔

Per Night: USD 88 (Price is halved now in Sept due to the pandemic)
