Day 1 - 5th May 09

Hyde Park - Trafalgar Square

After 13 hours in the plane and another couple of hours settling down our baggages, it's nice that our first destination is at London's most famed park.

I met this cute Westies named Vodka. He's so cute that we asked the owner if we could take a picture with him. He obediently sat down and posed for us. Cuuutie!

More greeneries and fresh air for our lungs... Cool wind blowing making the leaves and grasses gently sway under the bright sunshine. It's a weekday on a working hour. It feels like the park is reserved for us.

We came across the "Sunken Garden". It's spring and flowers are blooming. We just couldnt get enough of the colourful tulips. I liked the blood red tulips!

Mummy and pappi swans floating peacefully on the lake with their ducklings. Pappi swan was very protective of his family and will snap at anyone trying to get near. Watch out black ducky!

We get to feed the squirrel with nuts. These squirrels will come out, smell for any threats and when he feels it's safe, will quickly take the nuts out from your hand. Quickly run into a corner and munch on the goodies. Some daring squirrels will even climb up all over you. How cute!

Mr Squirrel says "Hehe! Lunch Time!"

Not far away, this curios Retriever comes sniffing at all of us. She's really big. TH tried to take a picture of her but she keeps insisting to take the camera from him. The owner gave a command. Suddenly, she just obediently sits down - SNAP! - and she gets up as soon as the picture is taken. Then, she struts away. I thought we were the posers.
.
We walked a bit more and came across Princess Diana's memorial park. It's a pretty little park with water elements flowing around the park.

We sort of made this plate famous. No one actually bothers about it and was walking over it. We were looking at it when a bunch of tourist came over to look at it as well. The lady tried to read the sign "Prin...ces...s Dia..Diaaa...na Mem...mem...O...rial" We were waiting like forever for her to finish reading it. I was almost saying "Princess Diana's Memorial Walk. Now move move, we got some posing to do" But of course we did not :)

We meet up with Alan, our UK friend at Chinatown. After a scrumptious dinner at a Hongkie Restaurant, we headed to the nearby Trafalgar Square.
