Day 1
Unlike the usual Saturday where we sleep in until we could not sleep anymore, we gotta pull our lazy butts up and prepare to catch a 8:45am Firefly to Langkawi. Our flight was breezy. We were served orange juice and as soon as we sipped the last drop, the pilot said "Cabin crew. Be seated for landing"
We got a sporty Nissan Latio for our ride.
And here's our driver. Mr Henry
We were so hungry as we were up for 3 hours without breakfast. We found Pak Ya Chicken Rice in Kuah town. Everyone was impressed with the special chicken rice they serve. Most of us tried the chicken wrapped in egg with sweet sauce. The chilli tasted different from our typical chicken rice. The soup was yummy too. So much so that Mr. Henry decided to get 1 more set.
This is our "Hotel! Motel! Holiday here!"
Our first stop was the Underwater World. OK, it's been the 3rd time I've been to Langkawi and the 2nd time I've been to Underwater World. However, this time, the place looked better! Just take a look.
Erm.....
An array of sea urchins, sharks, giant sting ray, penguins, seals, otter and weird looking fishes.
Time to eat at Tomato Restaurant which basically serves Nasi Kandar food...
Everything here is super cheap. RM1 for most of the food. I ordered 5 Lekor + 5 Nipis from this guy. He gave me extra 5-6 pieces and still charged me RM1.
This thingy is called "Tokiaw". I've gotta try it since I've not seen this thing before. It tasted like little pancakes stuffed with coconut and kaya. Yummy!
Chicken satay, Beef Satay, Nasi Lemak, Fried noodle & all local food can be found here. Again I am so happy that most of the stuff here are either RM1 or RM3.
We went shopping for a little liquor for the night. I know you must be thinking..."What! Only this?" OK, there are some more but still not as crazy as my last trip here. Well, that's because most of us are angelic and don't drink :)
The game master suddenly emerged and summoned everyone to his feet
Ouch! It must hurt a lot crashing against each other's heads so many times before finally catching the bread. But it looks like Su & Lirene are having fun trying to break each other's head.
We spent the rest of the night eating Nasi Lemak, Murtabak and junks. We were exhausted but excited for the next day as we will go...... (to be continued)

Day 2
(Continuation...)
as we will go...... Island Hoping! We took a boat which we later discovered some awesome sea-drifting moments.
as we will go...... Island Hoping! We took a boat which we later discovered some awesome sea-drifting moments.
This is just a scene from the pier.
We were mesmerized by the little islands scattering across the blue waters
This is "Pulau Dayang Bunting" aka "Island of the Pregnant Maiden". Can you see the silhouette of a pregnant lady lying down on her back?
Our first stop is the "Pulau Dayang Bunting" where a lake lays in the middle of the island.
One shot for the arrival of the VIPs.
Mr. Henry is still sulking coz he cant figure out the shape of the Pregnant Maiden.
Mr. Henry is still sulking coz he cant figure out the shape of the Pregnant Maiden.
There was a large bunch of Catfish where people put in their leg for some Fish Doctor therapy. Erm...the gals squirmed at the huge, hungry looking Catfish all ready to devour your feet...and there were so many of them!
We left the crowded island and were taken to another island for Eagle feeding. There were at least 20 eagles flying around this island. It felt like we were watching Animal Planet as we sat in our boat looking at the eagles swooping down to catch their food. These majestic creatures are Langkawi's symbolic bird.
Next, arriving at Pantai Beras Basah aka Wet Rice Beach
Look at the blue and unpolluted waters. It's posing time!
Mr. Henry suddenly had a foot fetish :P
Ah...look at our pedicure. Anyway, we were actually showing you how clear the water is.
Now, Mr. Henry decided to become a hero to pick the coconut by himself. This time Lirene had to stop him as it's not worth it. A monkey was already up there picking those coconut.
Monkey: My precioussss coconut...
Help! Get us outta here!
At the end of the trip, Mrs. Henry bought a plate with our pix inside.
We had Nasi Ayam Periuk Besar in Penang. Should we try the one in Langkawi? Of course!
The phrase of the restaurant: "Kalau sedap bagitau kawan. Kalau tak sedap bagitau tauke"
Translate: "Tell your friend if it's delicious, Tell the boss if it is horrible"
The "Ayam Madu" was so yummy that I had to order another set. So I am telling you now...
After our lunch, we headed over to shop for our chocolates and more chocolates. I cant resist this piece of cuttle fish.
We still have another 1 hour to spare before our flight. So Mr Henry brought us to this awesome place - Tanjung Rhu
At Tanjung Rhu beach...I wish this beach remains as clean and beautiful as it is right now the next time I come back.
The fate of beautiful beaches:
1. Beach is Clean & beautiful
2. Tourists throng the beach
3. Tourists swim in the beach and pollute the water with sun tan lotions, litter the place, throw rubbish into the sea or beach which later got swept into the ocean, collect corals & sea shells as souvenier (hey one doesn't matter, right? - wrong!),
4. Beautiful Beach is dead :(
Humans...please be responsible and don't pollute the beach!
Me contesting for Lonely Planet shot
TH contesting for Amazing Race shot
We love the scenic sight at Tanjung Rhu
This is the risk that we will take to pose for shots!
Kids don't try this at home
Mr Henry: Wait for me! I also wanna take photo!
Here are the burst shots. Apparently, Mr. Henry wanted to steal the gals' spotlight by making over excited poses!
Gang, all together now "We had so much FUN!!!"
