Siam Center & Siam Paragon

6th Oct 2019

After a day spent in Chatuchak Weekend Market & walking around malls in Chatuchak, we cannot just end it like that. So, the shopping & eating continued.

We were here yesterday but it was too short. We took a car ride from Chatuchak to Siam Center. Our stomachs were growling.

Wow! You get to sample the dessert before buying them.

Yayoi Japanese restaurant at Siam Center offered a good meal with decent price.

The washrooms in these malls were an art on its own. The first time I walked in, I thought I stepped into a cafe. There was a make up lounge with comfortable seats, tables and mirrors. Another one looked like a fashion stage. You can literally cat walk in there.

Can't help the washroom ambience so ... "Let me take a selfie"

Siam Paragon

We hit next door into Siam Paragon. Made a bee line to After You dessert cafe. There was a queue but we didn't need to wait that long before we got our seats. Since it was my first time here, Jess went to order.

The cutlery came and I thought why in the world they gave so many. I looked at Jess & she was giggling. "I see you can eat a lot, so...", she said.

Thai tea kakigori
The famous shaved ice appeared. This is the thai milk tea flavor. It came with a small pitcher of Thai tea to add on just in case it wasn't enough. This was the best shaved ice I've had. The taste & its ecstatic. The cottony ice melted in my mouth. After digging deeper, there were marshmallow inside.

Shibuya Honey Toast
Next came the ice cream on toast.
Did I say we just had a set of Japanese dinner and look at this?

Chocolate chip panookie
It just kept coming. There was another giant scoop of ice cream on top of the warm cookie base.

Halfway through all of these, we got slower and slower. Bursting stomach and definitely getting sugar overdose. But...we made it!

After all that feat, we dragged our big butts for some shopping. Some digestion was required. We enjoyed shopping groceries at Gourmet Market at Siam Paragon. It had so many choices of stuff.

We shopped till the shutters came down. As we walked out to grab a ride back, we passed through shops in Siam Paragon. They were all so pretty. Too bad they are closing now. Well, next trip then!

💜 End of Day 2 💜
