1000 Sook Food & Farm, Hua Hin

8 Feb 2020

There were several farm themed parks in Hua Hin. So which one shall we go?
After reading some reviews, seeing this big red farm house and knowing it has some good food here, it was decided that we shall go to 1,000 Sook Food & Farm

🎵🎵 Old McDonald has a farm...ee ya ee ya oh! 🎵🎵
Come follow me...

This attraction is also located in the long Petchaburi road. If you see this hill, you're at the right road. Maybe, a hill isn't the best choice for direction. Well, use your own GPS lah!

Camel Republic - Another attraction along the Petchaburi Road

Keep an eye on this tall building by the road and you'll know it is time to turn into the farm.

Plenty of car parks. There was a healthy group of visitors here. It has more visitors compared to the other attractions we've been so far in Hua Hin. This place appealed to not only tourists but also the locals. Let's find out why?

Firstly, we parked right in front of this beautiful restaurant so that our car gets a nice sight seeing too. Then, we headed straight to the main restaurant with our rumbling stomachs.

The farm styled restaurant

We chose a cozy corner. Flopped into the bright red sofa and started flipping the pages of the menu. So many varieties of food and drinks to choose from.

Shaved ice looked so tempting 😋

The brown sugar boba craze was also here. Oh, how close I was to get diabetes back home binging on these addictive drinks. Concerned friends and families were warning me about it and I thought I needed to attend brown sugar boba anonymous. I shall REFRAIN, I shall not drink it here...

Food that we settled on came. Stir fried pork rice with garlic.

Squid ink spaghetti with shrimps

We literally looked like this bear now after our sumptuous meal.

The restaurant was connected to a huge souvenier/snacks shop.
Look at the array of snacks here!

Looking through the window towards the farm, I just felt we needed to absorb more of the cool aircond inside before we brave ourselves into the hot sun again. Or maybe, the weather could be cooler if we wait a little longer? Nah...we better get going.

Ready, let's go outside!

Farm ticket affordably priced 👍

Wow, so scenic.
It is like we were transported into a European farm by the country side.

Lush greeneries and it is time for old McDonald to meet the animals

Dwarf ponies - So cute!

Sometimes, I was skeptical when animals were used for human amusement. However, this farm is very well kept with ample space for the animals to roam. All the animals looked well fed and groomed. I noticed they kept more dwarf horses at the stable which means the animals get a chance to alternate between "work" and "rest time".

There was also an archery area. The arrows and bows were left un-manned. Being an archer once, this was pretty dangerous.

A cute wedding chapel & studio

We roamed around the farm until it was almost sunset. Back into the souvenier shop, we couldn't resist the ice cream cake anymore. Also, the brown sugar boba is miiiinee..sorry, I CAN'T RESIST

The ice cream cake looks so delish

It was time to say good bye. Look at the pathway heading towards the toilet 💜

There were more spots for pictures around the building. Some plants and garden deco were on sale too.

Every corner of Sook Farm is pleasant to the eyes and beautifully curated. "Sook" in Thai means happiness. It was a fun family outing in this "Happy Farm".

We were back in Petchaburi road and look, the Santorini Ferris wheel which we will visit tomorrow.

What  does old McDonald eats?
So we had the "trusty" McDonald's by the petrol station.

Surrounding the petrol station were other restaurant and some point of interest. Like this giant octopus.

While heading back, we checked out more road side attractions like these. It's random but yet entertaining.
