Day 4 - 15th Oct 08

Kuta Square-Legian St-Kuta Beach

Branded shops in Kuta square

The little boutique from the square. It's more expensive but it's the colors of the shop that drew us in. Everything is delicately sown. Range of scarfs, beautiful beaded bags with unique patterns and so many other clothing materials. I bought a cute "ketupat" bag here. I dunno what you call this but it's an eye-catcher

An alternative from the high end Legian St...Narrow shops around Kuta square.

Stores selling almost the same thing. Bargain is a norm. Here, the shop owners are more laid back & not so aggresive. The lowest price is the same among all the shops. If you offer too low of a price, they won't care much (although you may still find some avid seller).

Kuta Beach- One of the busiest beach in Bali

.

The big wave is still there for surfing :)

.
.
Nothing feels as good as these thirst quenchers after a long day under the sun!

Memorial for the victims of the 2002 Bali bombing. Name of the 202 victims engraved in the memorial. It is here in Legian St where the bombing occured. Opposite to the memorial was an empty land which looks like a cemetry..probably for the victims. There were banners of the deceased along the fencing of the empty land. Gave me goose bumps there at Ground Zero.

Blackout in Bali! More goose bumps especially after visiting the Ground Zero

I was in Kuta a few years back. Going there again. Thank you for reminding me.
